Save the Village

Funnel the River to the Villagers Camp:

1. 1. Open up the World – The Village Saviour in your respective version of Minecraft.
   2. When you spawn into the World, you will be greeted by a wall with a map containing the layout of the region you are in.
   3. Your first task is to continue the funnelling of the river to the Villagers’ Camp.
   4. If you follow the river in front of you, you’ll see that the Villagers didn’t have time to complete it. You will need to continue where they left off and make sure that the river reaches the Villagers’ Camp.
   5. Create a collection point for them, so they can easily collect the water that you funnelled towards their camp.
   6. Due to Minecraft’s physics, you will need to fill up the funnelled river using water buckets. These water buckets can be found in your creative inventory.

Energy:

1. 1. Because of an earthquake, the Villagers’ power has been cut off. Power is usually transferred through over-hanging cables, which have been destroyed.
   2. To permanently fix this issue for the Villagers, they’ll need to create their own power that doesn’t rely on cables. This can be done using solar panels.
   3. There are no solar panels in Minecraft, but one can improvise and use the closest thing, in this case a day/night Sensor.
   4. Day/night sensors in Minecraft are independent power generators that allow you to run Redstone from them. They act as a cell.
   5. Using these day/night sensors, create a form of renewable energy for the Villagers. While you’re at it, create some lighting for them around their camp.
   6. Day/night Sensors can only work in two ways: during the day, when sun touches them, or at night, when they do not detect any light. Make sure they are set to work during the day.
   7. Run Redstone to each of the Villagers’ houses. They’ll do the rest from there.

Up for a challenge?

1. 1. Sticking with the theme of renewable energy, create 3 wind turbines that can assist in power generation during times of over-cast weather and when the day/night sensors (solar panels) cannot produce enough energy to recharge their batteries (and keep up with the power load).
   2. This will assist the Villagers when they start expanding their camp.
   3. Your wind turbines do not have to be right next to the Villagers’ camp. Just make sure to run some form of Redstone back to the camp if you choose to create them elsewhere.
